ORLEN is an integrated multi-utility company operating mainly in Central Europe. It supplies energy and fuels to more than 100 million people across Europe, and its advanced products are present in more than 100 countries on six continents.
By 2035, ORLEN plans to spend PLN 350-380 billion on strategic investment projects. These include the construction of four offshore wind farms, the development of large-scale energy storage facilities and at least two small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs).
Hydrogen plays a key role in ORLEN Group's decarbonization strategy. By 2035, ORLEN will consume about 350,000 tons per year of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen and its derivatives from its own production and imports. By then, more than 25% of the Company's fuel mix is expected to come from renewable energy sources. ORLEN is building a comprehensive ecosystem of low- and zero-carbon solutions, focusing on hydrogen, biofuels, sustainable feedstocks and small-scale nuclear power. The Group's goal is to consistently reduce CO₂ emissions and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
