Nemunas Biknius has over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, with a primary focus on gas transmission and infrastructure development. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of Amber Grid, Lithuania’s natural gas transmission system operator, since 2020, leading the company’s strategic development, infrastructure modernisation, and contribution to national and regional energy security. During his career, Nemunas has held various senior management and Board positions at Lietuvos dujos, the Ministry of Economy, EPSO-G, Baltpool, and Litgrid, where he contributed to and steered a number of strategic energy projects of national and regional importance. He has an engineering background and holds an EMBA, combining technical expertise with a forward-looking approach to energy transition and the integration of renewable and green gases, including hydrogen.

Connecting Regions, Powering the Future: The NBHC Pathway to the Baltic Sea Hydrogen Economy
The Nordic-Baltic Hydrogen Corridor (NBHC) is a cross-border infrastructure project that foresees the development of an onshore hydrogen transport corridor from Finland through Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to Germany. The project promotes energy supply independence, renewable energy uptake, and energy security and resilience within the Baltic Sea region in line with Europe's hydrogen strategy. This session introduces the latest achievements of the project as well as its market study 'Call for Interest' that is run 14th January - 31st March.
